Dr. Chell A. Roberts is the founding Dean of the University of San Diego's Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering, a position he has held since July 2013. Previously, he served as executive dean of Arizona State University's College of Technology and Innovation, where he designed innovative curricular programs, including the iProjects program—recognized by the National Academy of Engineering as one of 29 exemplary programs in the United States embedding authentic engineering practice within university education. At ASU, Dr. Roberts also designed a new engineering program based on studying the best undergraduate engineering models worldwide.
