Dr. Philip G. Altbach is a distinguished scholar of international higher education who served as a Research Professor and Distinguished Fellow at Boston College's Center for International Higher Education, where he was the Monan University Professor from 1994 to 2015. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Fulbright New Century Scholars Leadership Distinction, NAFSA's Houlihan Award, and ASHE's Bowen Career Award. His teaching career spans Harvard University, the University of Wisconsin, and SUNY Buffalo.
